Compare job offers fairly
Job offers come in different formats: one employer quotes an hourly wage, another a yearly salary. This calculator converts between pay periods so you can compare them on equal terms.
How the conversion works
Everything is first converted to a yearly amount. Hourly pay is multiplied by hours per week and weeks per year; weekly pay by the number of weeks; monthly pay by 12. The yearly figure is then divided back into the other periods.
Useful reference
- 40 hours × 52 weeks = 2,080 working hours per year.
- An hourly wage of $20 is about $41,600 per year.
- A $60,000 salary is about $28.85 per hour.
Gross vs net
All results are gross, before taxes and deductions. Your take-home pay depends on your country, region and benefits.
